How it Happened
Brown Recliner Chair Day
We met in 2018 through mutual friends and we got to know each other as friends first. A few years went by and COVID happened, and as friends do, we drifted apart. I was caring for my mom and my bonus dad in Mt. View. We reconnected while I was traveling to the Bay Area. Christina was also living in the Bay Area and taking car of her dad. Shrinidhi mentioned one day, hey Christina is taking care of her dad, why don't you ask her if she wants this chair that Bailey's bonus dad was giving away. He was constantly buying old man stuff and discarding it. She said yes. I loaded the brown recliner chair in my car and drove to Fremont. When we saw each other again, it was like, oh hey, there you are, I see you. Christina asked me out to dinner and I said yes and the rest is history as they say. Here's a picture from the day that I dropped off that brown recliner chair.
She proposed, i said Yes
I bought the ring to ask Bailey to marry me almost a year before I worked up the courage to ask! There never seemed to be the right moment. Finally in January we took a trip to Hawaii with her family and our close friends to honor the beautiful soul of her mom, and I just knew it was right. I carried that ring around with me everywhere we went. Hiding it in the bottoms of bags and drawers. We stopped at Olowalu Beach on our final day there and it was so beautiful and quiet and wild at the same time, and I knew this was it. I asked Bailey if she would marry me. The ring was in my hands that were shaking so badly waiting for an answer. She said yes. ~ Christina
